At Forte Village the second edition of Filming Italy

The official presentation of the 2nd edition of Filming Italy was held in Cannes
Sardinia Festival directed by Tiziana Rocca, which will be held from 13 to 16 June at the Forte
Village – beautiful resort in Santa Margherita di Pula – and at the UCI Cinemas of Cagliari.
Among the exceptional locations, the Forte Arena, an innovative entertainment area set in
a natural amphitheater, which Forte Village opened a couple of years ago, open to
all for free.
Films in the program are multiplying with a schedule of around 30 titles in a selection
which also includes 5 works chosen by Variety. With the goal for this second
edition of offering young people not only films in preview but also documentaries,
short films and TV series with the aim of bringing new generations closer
to the big screen. It opens with a great author like Brian De Palma and his
"Domino", shot in part in Sardinia, and for the previews dedicated to the TV series is
an episode of the series "Hunt for the thief" was selected, the new TV series in 10
episodes, produced worldwide by Viacom International Media Networks
Southern and Western Europe, Middle East and Africa and Viacom International Studios
Latin America.
The main theme of the event is special attention to sustainable development for
counter the unconditional exploitation of environmental resources, with a Festival in
ecological key and zero impact, including the awards made by Maestro Gerardo
Sack with eco-sustainable materials.
Many people present in Sardinia during the 2019 edition and among the first names
announced at Cannes stand out those of Francesca Archibugi, Paola Cortellesi,
Claudia Gerini, Riccardo Milani, Madalina Ghenea who will be the godmother of the evening
of solidarity scheduled for June 15th. Among the internationals Eva Longoria who will inaugurate the event on June 13 at Forte Village. But also TV series, moments of reflection on the Italian audiovisual industry with producers and institutions ”with two panels, organized in collaboration with APA, the Audiovisual Association.
