France Odeon 2018: Madalina Ghenea, Laura Morante and Clotilde Courau among the guests

France Odeon celebrates 10 years with many guests: Madalina Ghenea, Laura Morante, Francesco Bruni, Clotilde Courau, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Vanessa Guide and Christophe Montenez.





France Odeon, which has reached its tenth edition this year, will be held from 31 October to 4 November) The inauguration, Wednesday 31 October, at 18.30, sees on the stage of the cinema La Compagnia the ambassador of the Festival Madalina Ghenea and in the audience an exceptional parterre to celebrate French cinema, composed by the Festival jury (Laura Morante, Francesco Bruni, Esmeralda Calabria and Simona Tabasco), and many guests like Clotilde Coureau, Miriam Candurro, Francesca Valtorta, Anna Ferraioli Ravel and Eugenia Costantini. This will be followed by the opening film of the tenth edition, The Return of the Hero by Laurent Tirard, with Jean Dujardin, Mélanie Laurent and Christophe Montenez (Italian distribution Eagle Pictures).

Rich and varied edition, with twelve films in competition and four out of competition including the tribute to Pascal Thomas, A cause des filles … et des garçons!?. The selection can count on many absolutely unpublished and exclusive titles granted to France Odeon by Movies Inspired (Première année by Thomas Lilti e La dernière folie by Claire Darling by Julie Bertuccelli with Catherine Deneuve and Chiara Mastroianni), BIM Distribuzione (Un homme pressé by Hervé Mimran with Fabrice Luchini) and Eagle Pictures. Also scheduled Sauver ou périr, by Frédéric Tellier, presented on Saturday 3 November at 4.30pm with a world premiere in the presence of lead actress Anaïs Demoustier. The film tells the story of a young fireman from Paris (Pierre Niney), who has to rebuild his life after a serious accident at work. Another absolute novelty, Comme des garçons by Julien Hallard, who tells how the first women's soccer team was born in France. The female protagonist of the Fiorentina Women's FC football team will welcome the female protagonist Vanessa Guide. Finally, by Philippe Le Guay, director of Molière on bicycle, on Friday 2nd November at 10.30 pm, he will be screened, in his presence, Normandie nue, comedy with François Cluzet and Toby Jones.

Of the titles coming from Venice, on November 1st at 10:15 pm, Close Enemies by David Oelhoffen, soon in Italian cinemas for the types of Europictures, and The vacationers by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi (Lucky Red), on Saturday 3rd at 10 pm at Odeon cinema. On this occasion, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi will receive the Golden Leaf award of honor.

Great closing night on Sunday 4, starting at 17:00 with Guy by Alex Lutz in the presence of the director. Starting from the story of the French singer-songwriter Guy Jamet, after the delivery of the Golden Leaf Awards Manetti Battiloro, the author of the soundtrack of the film, Vincent
Blanchard, together with Alex Lutz, Romain Greffe and the singers Alyssa Landry and Camille Favre-Bulle, will play live songs from the closing film of France Odeon 2018.

To the great French producer of Tuscan origins, Jean-Louis Livi, the Keys of the City will be delivered by the Mayor Nardella Saturday 3 November (at 10:00) to Palazzo Vecchio. The life of the Alain Resnais producer is dedicated to Rien n'est jamais gagné, a documentary directed by Philippe Le Guay (Saturday 3 November, 10:00 am, Odeon cinema).
