From October 31 to November 4, 16 films are scheduled, with guests such as Madalina Ghenea, Laura Morante and Clotilde Courau
Madalina Ghenea, Laura Morante, Francesco Bruni, Clotilde Courau, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Vanessa Guide, Christophe Montenez and Anas Demoustier, will be guests at Florence of the French film festival France Odeon, directed by Francesco Ranieri Martinotti.
The review has reached its tenth edition and to celebrate it the festival is held in the three locations that made it known: the La Compagnia cinema (31 October – 2 November), the Institut Franais Florence (2 November) and the Odeon Cinema (3 and 4 November). Scheduled 16 films premiered, 12 in competition and four out of competition, with a selection of the best contemporary French cinema.
For the opening of France Odeon, on the stage of La Compagnia there will be the delivery ceremony of the "The Essence of Talent Award", in collaboration with Salvatore Ferragamo Parfums, attributed to the actors Vanessa Guide and Christophe Montenez. A live performance by the pianist Eliane Reyes of the Schindler's list tracks is expected in solidarity with the victims of the massacre at the Pittsburgh synagogue. Next, the film 'Le retour du héros', by Laurent Tirard, with Jean Dujardin, Mélanie Laurent and Christophe Montenez.
At the festival a tribute to the director Pascal Thomas; the producer Jean-Louis Livi will receive from the mayor Dario Nardella, the Keys of the City of the Municipality of Florence (Saturday 3 November at 10 am); the presentation of the book by Laura Morante, Brividi Immorali (Feltrinelli bookstore, Saturday 3 November, 17.30); the conference "Italy, France: common imaginary" (Friday 2 November, 10 am Institut Franais Firenze); the publication of the volume, edited by Valentina Grazzini, "France Odeon: ten years of French cinema in Florence".
