Gabriel Garko – pseudonym of Dario Gabriel Oliviero – was born on 12 July 1972, under the sign of Cancer, in Turin. He is an actor and former Italian model. He is the third son of Isabella Garchio from Messina and Claudio Oliviero from Vicenza: he grew up in Settimo Torinese with two older sisters, Nadia and Sonia, and a younger sister, Laura. In 1990 he won the title of Mr. Settimo Torinese: the competition was managed, among others, by Lele Mora. Meanwhile, before making some photo stories and being part of the dance troupe of the third edition of Jokes aside in 1993, he carried out military service at the Carabinieri. In 1995 he debuted as the protagonist in the short film Troppo caldo. From here, he will take part in a series of fiction: A woman on the run, black Angel – and made her cinema debut with the cine-panettone Paparazzi of Neri Parenti. His television debut dates back to 1996 with the TV miniseries, La signora della città, broadcast on Rete 4. Between 2001 and 2002 he was at the cinema with The ignorant fairies by Ferzan Ozpetek, Callas forever by Franco Zeffirelli and Senso 45 by Tinto Brass: the latter with full nude scenes. The real success comes in 2006: it is the protagonist of the TV miniseries broadcast on Canale 5, The honor and the respect – where he plays the role of the mafioso Tonio Fortebracci. In 2014 he returned to acting for the big screen in Asia Argento's new film, Incompresa, in which he joined Charlotte Gainsbourg. In 2016, however, he joined Carlo Conti, Virginia Raffaele and Madalina Ghenea at the Sanremo Festival.


Gabriel Garko has had romantic relationships with Eva Grimaldi, Serena Autieri, Manuela Arcuri, Cosima Coppola and Adua Del Vesco. He has never been married and has now reached the headlines for the alleged relationship with his colleague Gabriele Rossi.
